Division 2

Mary Ann Mayhew

Senior Division Manager

Mary Ann lives in Spotsylvania. She has two daughters and two granddaughters. Mary Ann has worked in the mental health field for more than ten years. She has worked in direct care with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health issues and dual diagnoses including substance abuse disorders. During her travels through the mental health community, Mary Ann noticed a trend - there is a lack of knowledge needed to obtain necessary services. With no understanding of what services were available, she saw individuals suffer. She wants to do more to empower those individuals and hopes to be able to do so as a member of the Moms In Motion team.

Bethany Mercer

Senior Service Facilitator

Bethany grew up in Shenandoah County and went to Roanoke College where she received a Bachelor's in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work and Health Care Delivery. She has a background in Social Work and worked at the Department of Social Services where her job was providing services to families to help keep children in the home and the family together. Most recently, Bethany worked in Substance Use, helping people in recovery from addiction. She has always lived a life of helping others and looks forward to being a part of the Moms In Motion team and continuing to provide help and resources to those who need it.

Briana Hedden

Senior Service Facilitator

Briana grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and now resides in Lovettsville, VA. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 20 years and has two daughters. Briana became a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her second daughter and was a homemaker for about 10 years, focusing on her family. She returned to the career world several years ago and has been balancing home/work life now that her daughters are older. Briana enjoys reading, hiking, photography, going to the beach and spending time with her family. In 1999, Briana earned her BS in Psychology at James Madison University and later went on to earn her M.Ed. in Counseling and Development from George Mason University in 2005. Briana has always been passionate about working with and advocating for children, teens and their families. Briana has many years of experience in working with children and teens in residential settings, in home counseling, Applied Behavioral Analysis services, within the school community as a substitute teacher, as well as working as an attendant herself. She has gained much experience in working with individuals with various mental health diagnoses and differing abilities. Most recently Briana worked as a caregiver for an elderly couple, helping them to and from appointments and adjusting to new diagnoses and disability due to declining age.

Briana came across Moms in Motion and was familiar with Medicaid waiver services as she had previously worked as an attendant. She was intrigued by the opportunity to help families obtain much needed services for their loved ones, but in a different capacity than her previous experiences. She is excited to be a part of the team at Moms in Motion and to help empower families.

Ileana Mungro

Senior Intake Specialist

Ileana lives in Loudoun with her four children, two girls and two boys. Her boys are fraternal twins who have Autism. Ileana obtained her Bachelor's from George Mason University with a concentration in Communication, Public Relations and minor in Information Technology. She also holds an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Ultimately, Ileana has found a passion for helping others, especially through sharing her knowledge with other parents who have faced some of the same obstacles and blessings that she's experienced since becoming a parent of children with special needs. As she starts this journey within Moms In Motion, she wishes to obtain as much knowledge as she can so that she can be a catalyst for upstanding programs and platforms that will empower others who have loved ones dependent upon their care. Ileana is so grateful to be afforded this opportunity to tap into a network of support and community on a matter that she is passionate about.

James Kile

Senior Service Facilitator
James worked in public education for 21 years, the last 10 serving as a school administrator. During this time he worked with students with emotional disorders, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. The next phase of his professional life involved serving as a behavior clinician for families of children with autism. James’s last professional role involved working as a career coach for a program that focused on helping those living in poverty obtain funds and resources to pursue careers in the health care field. After a brief period away to help deal with family health issues, he is excited to have the opportunity to use his experience helping people to overcome the hurdles of life.
