Moms In Motion/At Home Your Way strives to create opportunities for all Virginians with disabilities to be fully included in their communities and exercise control over their own lives. We have several divisions across the state and work hard at connecting individuals with developmental disabilities with resources and providers in the communities where they live and work.

Ultimately, we aim to be a voice to ensure our legislators create responsive policies and systems and help communities across Virginia build capacity to support and include people with developmental disabilities.

This year’s Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month takes place at a particularly important, pivotal time as Virginia navigates the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

It is our desire that everyone will make a point to acknowledge the vital contributions of the Developmental Disability community and take action to shape a more equitable future for Virginians with disabilities.

How can you help? You can get involved throughout the month by accessing resources on Moms In Motion/At Home Your Way’s website and social media channels. They can also connect with policymakers and media professionals to advocate for change and view Moms In Motion/At Home Your Way Provider’s Perspective and Conversations with Caregivers presentations.

We appreciate you supporting Moms In Motion/At Home Your Way efforts toward helping those with disabilities and self advocates across Virginia build sustainable systems to support people with developmental disabilities.

Moms In Motion/At Home Your Way recognizes the significance of Developmental Disabilities every day and we hope you will join us in doing the same.
