**UPDATE** 3/2/21: We are aware that the extended appendix K date of 3/11/21 is fast approaching. DMAS has tentatively extended that date to May 1 , 2021 for telehealth (virtual visits). Additionally, pending CMS approval, they intend to extend parents being paid attendants to August 1, 2021. We will posts updates as they are received.
We hope this communication finds you and your family safe and well during this unprecedented time. We wanted to provide you with an update on our plans going forward. DMAS has allowed us flexibilities with our visits, enabling us to visit with you virtually during this emergency. We are so grateful as it has enabled us to “see” your faces, visit with you, and still maintain social distancing while doing our part to slow the spread.
With the holidays approaching, many who are caring for aging loved ones may find themselves in a challenging position.
Many families and individuals choose to consider aging in place or to stay in their home as opposed to taking up residence in a senior facility.
Several senior centers have been grossly impacted by Covid and the pandemic. The potential for contracting the deadly virus is highly possible for anyone outside the home.
